DCHA Design Work

As the graphic designer for the District of Columbia Housing Authority, I produce event flyers, posters, signs, logos, and brochures. Here are some of my favorite designs I've created to promote DCHA's mission- to provide quality affordable housing to extremely low to moderate-income households, foster sustainable communities, and cultivate opportunities for residents to improve their lives.

Four of the ten logos I designed for DCHA's School for Progress Delta Class. The two requirements were that the logo be futuristic / sci-fi and incorporate the greek delta symbol. Version 1 was my favorite, but version 2 was chosen and used in the closing ceremonies presentation.

Sometimes making the same content fit for a social media ad without losing critical details  is tricky, but for this Facebook image, just the essentials were kept and it made for a nice design.

Out of the many designs I created for the DCHA Builds project, these are my two favorites. The one on the left was chosen as the official DCHA Builds logo.

DCHA needed a highly visible construction site sign with a for multiple Housing Authority properties around the city that were being repaired. Signs were created and installed for Judiciary House (above), James Apartments, Highland Addition, Potomac Gardens, Garfield Senior, Greenleaf Gardens, Regency House, Harvard Towers, Carroll Apartments, and Stoddert Terrace.

Again, sometimes recreating an existing flyer for social media (with restrictions in size) returns great results.

Occasionally I'll have more time than usual to create a flyer or poster, as I did with this one. Extra attention went towards a checkerboard background and incorporating hard drawn inline lettering made the flyer a little more exciting.
